Humanities

At Samui Bilingual School, we value openness to the world and a deep understanding of the environment by the student. The Humanities, including geography, history, civic education, and critical thinking, play a central role from kindergarten through primary school, enriching each student's perspective on time and space. Our pedagogical methods incorporate reference texts, reflective workshops, and thematic excursions, adapted to the enriching context of Samui.

Geography and History

From an early age, our students explore concepts of geography and time through playful activities and the study of daily life in different epochs. In primary school, this knowledge is deepened through enriching and interactive readings, promoting cultural and historical immersion.

Philosophy and Critical Thinking

We also encourage philosophical reflection from kindergarten, through workshops that allow free expression and the construction of critical thinking on age-appropriate themes.

Understanding the Connections of Life

By integrating workshops into our program on understanding the connections of life, brain function, and emotion management based on behavioral neuroscience, we offer a holistic education that equips children to effectively manage their relationships and improve their concentration. These workshops, part of the NeuroScol approach, enrich the personal and academic development of students, preparing them to approach their learning and interactions with confidence.

At Samui Bilingual School, our approach to the Humanities is designed to prepare our students to become enlightened citizens, capable of understanding and interacting with the complex world around them, while developing a solid foundation of knowledge and emotional and social skills.
