Du rêve au chantier : Préparer le terrain
Passer d’une vision à une réalisation concrète commence toujours par un ancrage dans le réel. La phase de préparation du terrain marque la première étape tangible de l’école Baan Inthanin. Ce moment clé est celui où les rêves prennent forme, où le terrain vierge devient une promesse d’avenir.
Aménagement du terrain :
La préparation du terrain a débuté par un travail délicat mais nécessaire, visant à garantir la sécurité et la viabilité des futures constructions. Une des étapes les plus importantes a été le retrait des cocotiers qui, bien que majestueux, présentaient plusieurs risques :

Danger structurel : Les cocotiers, certains dépassant les 20 mètres de hauteur, possèdent des racines superficielles qui augmentent le risque de déracinement, surtout lors des tempêtes tropicales.

Risques pour la sécurité : La chute accidentelle de noix de coco représente un danger significatif pour les occupants futurs du site.
C’est à contre-cœur que nous avons dû nous séparer de ces arbres emblématiques. Pour compenser cette perte, nous avons pris l’engagement de replanter des cocotiers plus jeunes, qui s’intégreront harmonieusement au projet tout en éliminant les risques liés aux arbres plus âgés. Par ailleurs, nous avons veillé à préserver les autres arbres sur le site, notamment ceux dont les racines sont plus profondément ancrées dans le sol, offrant ainsi une stabilité naturelle et un ombrage bénéfique.
Des photos avant/après illustrent cette étape, révélant le soin apporté à préserver la végétation existante tout en préparant un terrain sécurisé et adapté pour les fondations de l’école.

From Dream to Construction: Preparing the Ground
Turning a vision into a tangible reality always begins with grounding it in the physical world. The site preparation phase marks the first concrete step in the Baan Inthanin School project. This crucial moment is where dreams begin to take shape, and the once-empty land becomes a promise for the future.
Land Preparation:
Site preparation began with a delicate but necessary task to ensure the safety and feasibility of future constructions. One of the most critical steps was the removal of coconut trees, which, while majestic, posed several risks:

Structural Danger: Some coconut trees, exceeding 20 meters in height, have shallow root systems, increasing the risk of uprooting, especially during tropical storms.

Safety Risks: The accidental fall of coconuts posed a significant hazard to the future occupants of the site.
It was with a heavy heart that we had to part with these iconic trees. To compensate for this loss, we committed to replanting younger coconut trees that will harmoniously integrate with the project while eliminating the risks associated with older trees. Furthermore, we ensured the preservation of other trees on the site, particularly those with deeper root systems, providing natural stability and beneficial shading.
